John Badman|The Telegraph An Ameren lineman disconnects power to a pole and street light that were knocked over in the street Tuesday morning by a trash truck from Mid-West Sanitary Service in Wood River. The truck reportedly clipped the pole at the corner of Park Avenue and State Street just after 8 a.m. according to Wood River Police. The driver stopped nearby and waited for police. WOOD RIVER — A pole and street light were knocked over Tuesday morning by a trash truck from Mid-West Sanitary Service in Wood River.

The truck clipped the pole at the corner of Park Avenue and State Street just after 8 a.m., according to Wood River Police.

The driver stopped nearby and waited for police. Nobody was injured in the mishap.
